Croatian International 2011

Zagreb, croatian international.... Everything was just perfect. People there, beautiful city, a lot of international umpires a young one could learn from, good players, nice linejudging organization...
Zagreb - a city I was longing to see for a long time, a city where my father served his army duty, a city of great history, great athletes, artists and one of the most beautiful cities in my ex country - Yugoslavia. It was great beeing there. I will be back soon, I hope...
Cheers, živeli,
Goran
P.S. Special thanx to our friends from Greece, with whom we traveled to Croatia and back...

Banuinvest International Championships 2011

It was a great tournament in Timisoara, Romania. A lot of great matches, touchpad umpiring system with a live score at tournament software, live stream at badmintoneurope.tv... An organisation deserved A+ grade.
Organisators from Romania made sure that hospitality was at the highest level. Boavista hotel was just a few minutes walk away from great Banusport hall. Meals and refreshing were extremely good and good atmosphere is guaranteed.
If you have a chance to visit Timisoara in the BE circuit, just DO IT! :)
Find out why Timisoara is called "a little Wienna" and enjoy a really good tournament.
Cheers!

Yonex Bulgarian international 2010

This was my first international tournament as an umpire and the greatest umpiring experience so far. The Yonex Bulgarian international is a very good tournament for a young umpire to experience because of a great number of tough matches There is a lot of pressure from coaches and players (especially from Balkan countries) and a lot of good BE umpires you can learn from.
I was an umpire 13 times and a service judge 11 times. I umpired the WS final match in front of Poul-Erik Høyer Larsen, the olympic champion from Athens 2004 and Badminton Europe president. That was a great honour.

You can see some photos HERE.

Cheers,
Goran!
